I was watching the Onsite video of the wedding of RJ Ledesma and Vanessa Pastor from Jason Magbanua's site. He (Jason) posted the video of RJ's famous Royal Tru-Orange commercial in the late 80's and boy did it bring back memories. If I know the exact year this was shown, I would know how many years it has been. Vanessa, on the other hand was a model for Penshoppe and I think the very first batch. I remember liking her before after seeing her photos from the print and tv ads of Penshoppe. I may have even cut out her photos from newspapers and magazines.

Yes, I was that into tv that I remember commercials and they were part of my viewing pleasure. She was the girl with a hat on a boat with someone in one of the commercials. I saw that particular clip again when I watched the photo montage that Jason Magbanua made for their wedding. Wow! It was nice seeing it again. The RTO and the Penshoppe commercials are already classics and I would be so glad to see them again. Well, the RTO is on YouTube. The Penshoppe one isn't.

naaliw ako when i heard about their engagement (saw pics sa friendster), who would have thought they'd end up together di ba?. i knew van from our pep days, i was surprised to know that she did acting work pala in hollywood but chose to come back here sa pinas.

I remember the Penshoppe one so well but it was just in the back of my mind then I saw the montage and one of the clips there was her in that commercial ayun I remembered again. I just cant seem to remember who the guy was hahah. and if Ryan Agoncillo was part of this batch or what =)

RJ will always be famous for the RTO commercials. That's how we always introduced him to fellow batch-mates. ID 92 si RJ - Eco major. Ryan was from a lower batch and a different college.

Another wala lang... Jason really is the man! Gone are the days when he used to operate out of his house. =)

i read about it in the paper -- sa article about their wedding. she studied nga daw in davao ... i knew back then that she took pol sci as a prelaw course it's good to know tinuloy-tuloy nya. she was in the same penshoppe batch as ryan agoncillo nga... (i remember the days when friends would convince me to go out to lunch with them and make ryan come along hahaha)

oh batch higher pala si RJ. I know that Ryan was a batch lower kasi I was on my way out and he was still there. hahaha hay naku if I knew hahah =P wala lang

wow grabe ang memory ko! I knew they were in the same Penshoppe batch but I know it was a different guy with her sa boat na yun hahah

Oo nga, he was named one of the 25 most influential videographers in the world for the second time in the row. I'm proud to say that he did our wedding vid.... way back noong vcd pa yung the norm. =)

I remember you giving me the link to his website when he did Claudine's wedding and that started my weekly habit of checking his site. I was looking for your onsite vid but didnt see it.

Di pa uso yun in 2002. =)
He was also starting out then so the equipment was still very basic. On-site video and photo editing became de rigour about 2 years later.

Interesting nga eh, videography was not on our list of must-haves. Buti na lang, we were able to get up and coming suppliers with great output at really low cost so everything fit our limited budget plus we were able to squeeze more freebies. I don't think we would be able to afford them now.
